Inital Pressed botanicals and ohp composition

So, this is the stage the work is currently at, waiting for the sun anticipated tomorrow. Fresh botanicals, salt, lime acids will be added to the final piece. I may also add a stone to represent moonlight but the shadow cast from this may not be strong enough under the expected weather conditions. Each element moved under the changing conditions under the sun.

I may also paint some areas (such as the bottom left) with previously exposed Cyanotype solution which given a deep Prussian blue ink like solution to define elements of the leaves here. The reason for this is to add depth to the final composition.

What needs to be decided is the timing and length of exposure of the different elements in relation to UV  levels as, due to the edition of colour (on the heels) will require careful consideration. The new dyes don’t react to acid but it is possible to dilute them with water and leach them with salt.

There are many other digital images in this collection that wait for the same treatment but first it’s important to understand the order and timing (what can be controlled) with other elements such as UV, rain etc (that cannot be controlled).
