Questions
Is a full survey of the animation field required? Is there existing research that has already conducted this study?
If there is no existing study of the tension encountered when craft-based animator meets CG Tools, what form should the survey take? What parameters would the survey necessarily define?
Would a questionnaire be a sufficient method of gathering data? Could the recent Spanish study of computation and drawn forms of animation in artist-animation help? They conducted a private e-mail questionnaire of 12 Artist-Animators.
Could a more formal interview study better gain the necessarily information?
Is 5 years experimental and craft based industry practice experience sufficient without further formal studies? I have this experimentation logged on the blog and in note form, but what would be a valid method of presenting and studying this research?
Is the study of Heuristic Trial and Error a stand alone project or should this be broadened to include an anthropological study of the cultural bias of craft/industrial/arts practice?
Do I need to work with or research HCI research to better understand the applications of this research outside of the field?
Do I need to know about Heuristics? I would prefer to refer due having a claim to authority as craft practitioner.
How can I make a water tight case for this argument?
